I was blessed to make a friend a few years ago while traveling in Plano, Texas. Her name is Danisa Mantero, and she lives in Santiago, Chile. She is a wonderful woman. I told her about my book, and she agreed to take my books to an English Teaching school in Chile. This is a great joy, to me since my main goal isn’t to sell a ton of books, but to keep kids dreaming, and share the story.
The first photo is of Danisa and her Teacher friend,Claudia, with the books.
The second and third photos are of the first young men in Chile to read “The Day I Learned To Fly.”
It warms my heart, and is so special to see that this story is being used around the world. A huge ‘Thank You’ to Danisa, for helping me out with this.

I would like to specially thank Claudia Frugone for helping us, and many teachers that give their love and commitment everyday to many kids. There are many schools in Latin America that doesn’t have enough economic support and teachers like Claudia that day by day help and guide life to become better people. Education is an issue in Chile and Latin America. Thank you Jeff because just for the fact that they can start reading in another language, they can start to dream and fly.A big hugh!
Thank you Danisa and I agree a big thanks goes to Claudia. Y’all are great!
This is so great my students from Erasmo Escala Arriagada School are going to feel very motivated with the Jeff´s book when they come back from their vacations on March because they could keep in touch with you Jeff. Besides the book is a very useful tool to encourage them to dream and learn English. Thank you very much Jeff and Danisa for helping me with my students.
THANK YOU!!!! Claudia, I am thrilled to be working with you and thrilled that your students have access to the book. I am beyond happy with them having it! It is my joy to be involved.
