Sometimes it’s so easy to get lost in the details of a project, a problem, or a situation.
Trying to find answers can be difficult.
However, it’s amazing how a little bit of perspective can help you work your way through.
It’s dizzying how the streets, shops, and casinos of Las Vegas work. When you are down in the trenches, down in the streets it’s easy to get overwhelmed or lost. But, climb 1000 feet off the ground and you get such a different way to look at all that is going on. That different perspective shows you something you might not be aware of.
Last week I was in Las Vegas, Nevada and had an example of what a change in perspective can do for you.
First, when you see things from a larger or different perspective it allows you to see how it all works or fits together. Much like pulling back from a puzzle and not focusing on the piece in hand but instead looking at the whole often gives you an idea where the next piece should go.
Secondly, with the perspective on how the smaller things you are doing fit together, you get the satisfaction of recognizing that the small steps, the small parts of a project actually matter.
Just remember, sometimes it’s the simple things that can help you see through the fog of a situation to better understand your next steps. Having a different ‘perspective’ is one of those simple things.
Peace on your Journey this week.
