Elizabeth and I were talking the other night about ‘stuff’. One of the topics was, ‘who we are’ and how we got to be who we are today.

I started waxing eloquent on what a good man is… (and how I am not). Ha! She just rolled her eyes… But in truth, my Father, Jerry Kennon, is really the author and writer of this because he has spent so much of his life modeling so many of these behaviors.

Thank you Dad! I couldn’t ask for a better Father and mentor.

Given this weekend is Father’s Day I thought I would publish these items. They ring true to my Father and maybe yours.

  2. Thank you for that gift. As I read it I saw the line: “A good man knows there is a time to walk away, from a fight and from this life. He can choose the fight one but God designates the life one.” and thought of the last conversation I had with my father. He said he had the greatest life, the greatest wife, the greatest kids, the greatest job, and now he was ready to see his parents and brothers and cousins, and friends that passed long ago. He was within a few days of the end and was embracing this new adventure. …and yes, I saw him in many of the other lines as well.
